  • Accommodation
    The College is non-residential for local students. However, the College provides accommodation for overseas students. Transport to and from the College is provided on a daily basis


  • Health Services
    All students receive medical care free of charge through the College Clinic and the Accident and Emergency Department at the Salmaniya Medical Complex.
    Immunization and screening tests needed to meet requirements and maintain compliance are administered by Employee Health for accepted/enrolled students


  • Books and Materials
    Most instructional materials have been designed specifically for use in the College of Health Sciences and are provided to the students at no cost. Some books, however, must be purchased by the students, depending on their specialty.


  • Transport
    Transport to and from the College is provided on a daily basis. A transport fee of BD 5/- per month is collected from all students except for those from the Gulf Cooperation Council member states or the Bahrain Defense Force.


  • ID Badges
    All students at CHS are responsible for keeping their ID card on hand while on campus. At any point in time students might be obliged to present their ID card to any staff or faculty member. In the event that a student loses his/her ID card they will be held responsible for the payment of replacement.


  • Parking
    Free parking is available to student in the Parking Deck adjacent to CHS.
    Students at the College must park in the student-designated places when attending classes or engaging in College related activities as a student. Private parking lots adjacent to SMC or CHS are not for student use. The parking deck is access controlled and students may enter using their cards.


  • Uniform
    While in College labs or clinical areas, students are required to wear official dress or uniform, depending on their specialty. Two College uniforms are issued to the Nursing students each year at no charge. White coats are issued for Laboratory, Radiography and Dental Hygiene students.



  • Counseling and Guidance Office services
    The counseling office, located in the administration building, provides students, faculty and staff with academic and personal support through a variety of services including psychotherapy counseling, and academic and career counseling. It also offers related workshops.

    Also upon entering the College, each student is assigned a faculty advisor who meets privately with the student at the beginning of the academic year and at least three times during each semester.
    This advisory process is part of a complete advisory system whereby the advisors coordinate all their activities with the counselor.


  • Financial Aid (Needy Student Fund)
    Money collected from donations and student activities is used to help the needy students with books, personal and study material. Student requests are received at the beginning of each semester.
