- Acquisition
To find out bibliographic information about a book or
journal, such as author, title, publisher, ISBN and
price; as well as to recommend books or journals for
Library purchase.
- Guided Library Tour
Guided Library tours are offered to students (and
others). Arrangements for the tours should be made by
the Instructor at least a week prior to the tour. It is
required that the Class Instructor must be present with
students at the time of tour.

- Inter-Library Loan
For reprints of articles not held by CHS Library,
ordering of photocopies is limited. Reproduction of
requested materials is free only for Library members.
The Library charges only for materials ordered through
BLLD (BD 3.500 for each 10 pages)
- Literature Searches
Library staff will assist patrons in searching for
periodical articles using databases such as Medline and
ERIC. (Silver Platter version).
- Library Holdings
The Library offers assistance for research on a
particular topic and helps in how to use Indexes,
Abstracts and other reference sources.
- Bahrain Research Collection
The literature of medicine, nursing and the health
sciences pertaining to Bahrain by Bahraini authors and
others is housed separately in the Library.
- Reference Services
The Reference Desk is a central information and a
referral point. Library staff answer inquiries, assist
clients in the use of the library, and its resources,
and perform Computer databases searches.
