The overall goal of the Allied Health Programs is to develop highly qualified and
knowledgeable health professionals who are competent to perform their assigned responsibilities
in various health care delivery endeavors.
The health services in the Kingdom of Bahrain depend mainly on the graduates of
these programs in delivering the care to the population. Our graduates are employed
in governmental hospitals, health centers, and private clinics in Bahrain as well
as in GCC countries. These graduates contribute toward Bahrainisation of the health
services in the public and private sectors.
The Allied Health programs strive to give the student both basic professional education
and competency-based scientific training, thus enabling him/her to meet their future
career responsibilities with confidence, proficiency and scientific comprehension.
The curricula of the Allied Health are composed of didactic (30-40%) and laboratory,
clinical/practical (60-70%) components. The courses include basic sciences, professional,
clinical / practical, as well as transferable skills courses.
We in the Allied Health Division strive for quality of our graduates through continuous
revision and updating of the curricula, development of faculty, and creating a supportive
environment for student learning and innovation.
